[Press Release] Dr. Han-kyeom Kim, Director of International Diagnostic Center at Hanaro Medical Foundation, Receives ‘Achievement Award’ from the Korean Society for Cytopathology

Dr. Han-kyeom Kim, Director of the International Diagnostic Center at Hanaro Medical Foundation, has been honored with the Achievement Award at the ‘39th Spring Academic Conference Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Korean Society for Cytopathology.’

This Achievement Award was presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of cytopathology and the development of the society in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Director Han-kyeom Kim has dedicated himself to the advancement of the society, having served as the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Korean Society for Cytopathology. He has also consistently participated in overseas cytopathology educational volunteering, contributing to the improvement of diagnostic capabilities in regions with poor medical environments.

In particular, he has continued various international cooperation activities, starting with the Mongolia cytopathology education project in 2007 and extending to the ‘Baobab Project’ in Madagascar. In the process, he was highly praised for directly transferring cytopathology interpretation techniques to local medical staff and laying the foundation for establishing an independent diagnostic system.

Currently, as the Director of the International Diagnostic Center at Hanaro Medical Foundation, Dr. Kim is also working on establishing a global cooperation system based on digital pathology systems.

Hanaro Medical Foundation will continue to make consistent efforts to contribute to the advancement of medical care both domestically and internationally.
